Robert+Kayleigh // Destin, FL

How do I begin to describe Robert&Kayleigh? If I told you they were something special, I wouldn’t be satisfied until you knew how truly special they are.

Robert proposed to Kayleigh the night before he left on a school-designated trip to Argentina. We were with Robert while he did his laundry before he drove the 6.5 hours to see Kayleigh before his flight. What we didn’t know is that he’d propose to her shortly after arriving!

The marriage between Robert&Kayleigh wasn’t just a celebration of their union but it was also a celebration of who they represent as a couple. The most important thing for Robert&Kayleigh was to put God in the center of their day. Unlike other weddings, they trimmed the fluff and introduced a new take on what we’ve come to recognize as traditional and for that, I love them so much! It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous ceremony that was deeply personal and touching for everyone.

These are just some of my favorite photos from the day.

I could not be more thankful to Robert&Kayleigh for asking me to be their photographer on their wedding day. I’ve had a handful of wedding photography experiences and this was by far the most fun I’ve ever had! Robert&Kayleigh kept things simple—no bridal parties and no extravagant details—just them.

Here are some of my favorite moments throughout the day:

1) In the hotel lobby, Robert handed me a brass key to give to Kayleigh, which she attached to the necklace she wore just before the ceremony started.
2) TOMS shoes everywhere!
3) The communion cards with the funny sayings on the inside!
4) Robert&Kayleigh dancing to a song by The Format with friends.
5) Just before he left for Argentina, Kayleigh gave Robert a bracelet to wear, which he promised to wear until their wedding day. When George reminded him he didn’t have to wear it anymore, Robert gave George the bracelet and we left it with a wine bottle that came from Argentina. So fitting.

We love you guys!
