First photos are with my iPhone.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! For the second year in a row, my family headed to the quaint little town of Leavenworth, Washington, for the lights and holiday splendor (mind you, not for the lederhosen). 😉

While we were there, it dumped several feet of snow at the cabin where we were staying. So as a family, we took it upon ourselves to build a massive luge in the backyard. Basically, family vacations in the snow are amazing if you do it right.

And if that weren’t enough, George and I spent a day together at Stevens Pass and I got to snowboard for the very first time! It was so much fun and I took to it pretty naturally, even though we ended the day early after I accumulated a black eye and a mild concussion… I can’t lie—I felt like a total badass this Christmas!

I hope all of you had a lovely Christmas and holiday season and I’m so very excited to celebrate the coming year. May 2013 be as happy as my nephew is in that last photo above—am I right? 😀
