Devry | 2011 Senior Rep Model

So a few weeks back, I launched a Senior Rep program and I can’t believe the amazing response I received! This is a very exciting time in the life of my business as I grow in the Seattle area. So having great people step up to represent the carlybish photography brand because they love my work—that is just so awesome!

Kicking off our Senior Rep shoots is Devry, who came at just the right time! She and her mom, Lynn, were here visiting from California, so I was thrilled when they contacted me about the program. Devry was the total package—not only is she down to earth, but she totally gets my “wacky face” humor. Gotta love that!

Since I had a limited amount of time with Devry, I knew we had to get her photos done pronto! So we hit the salon, the makeup counter, and ran around the streets of Seattle! I was nervous (as it’s been a while since I’ve done a one-on-one shoot like this) but Devry was totally at ease. We had a lot of fun and Lynn was a great assistant, making her daughter laugh every chance she got!

Photographers take note! For these Senior photoshoots, I’ve been sticking exclusively with my 50mm/1.4 lens. This is actually George’s favorite lens—his “baby” actually—and I don’t get near enough time with it. It’s such a sensitive lens, so getting those sharp images are about one in ten, but when you do get one… Mmm…

Buttery and awesome…

I just love Devry’s relationship with her mom… You can tell by the looks she gave off camera that they’re totally bonded and they know just how to push each others’ giggle buttons… (PS! How much do you LOVE Seattle’s random wall colors?! Lime green?! Yeah, baby!!!)

A quickie outfit change and we were on the hunt for another fabulous wall! I’ll venture to guess these walls have been used a thousand times over by other photographers, but when it’s been 5 long years since I’ve had a chance to shoot there, I was all over them! Are you kidding me with these colors?!

One last outfit and a change in scenery later… By the way, I am a T-shirt and jeans kinda girl and I only wear one piece of jewelry (my wedding ring) but I can’t help being envious of some of these outfits!
