This year, I’ve been pushing myself to do more design work. I’ve discovered several amazing companies that create beautiful templates for photographers, like The Shoppe – Design for Photographers, Luxecetera, and Design Aglow. However, I find myself wanting to create things of my own, inspired by the photos I take and the people in them.
Here’s a flat 5×7 holiday card I designed for the Fitzgeralds. I used the backdrop of their session as inspiration for the card itself. I really enjoyed making it and I think it’s perfectly wintery and holiday-themed without the typical holiday colors.
At the bottom of this post, you’ll find a download for the Photoshop (.psd) files for your own personal use. Because sharing is fun. 🙂
After downloading each .zip file, simply extract the files and save them somewhere on your hard drive. The font installs easily (just double click on the file and hit “Install”). For information on how to place your images inside the marquee boxes, follow this tutorial HERE.

YOU WIN. This is an *excellent* idea. Keep it up
This turned out really good! I debated putting my name on the cards my clients ordered, but decided against it this year.
I don’t know if I commented before, but the light that day of your session above was just BOMB.
sharing IS fun, you’re right 🙂
Merry Christmas to you and your generous spirit!
