Ann+Billy are one of those really special couples I hold in my heart… Their love is such a sweet, tender love. All they wanted was to create a beautiful and fun day for themselves and their guests. They had to sacrifice a lot to make their wedding what it was, including selling Billy’s boat (his “baby”) to cover wedding expenses. Also, every single detail you see in the wedding, was created by Ann, her mom, and other family members. All the paper flowers and poms, big and small, were created by Ann’s mom. Her mom also customized Ann’s wedding gown with elements from her grandmother’s wedding dress. All the signage, wood posts, the stenciled burlap table liners and bunting flags, the dress hangers, the hand sewn garters, the mason jars and chalk for drinking… They made just about everything you see above. Pretty darn amazing.

Their wedding took place on that really wonky Saturday, July 16th, when the weather refused to make up it’s mind. When we arrived, the plan was to have it outside if the rain let up. Then, the sun came out just in time for Ann+Billy’s first look and portraits. And quite literally 30 seconds before the ceremony was scheduled to start, the thunder clapped and the clouds gushed with rain. So while everything was set up beautifully outside, in a last minute change of plans, everyone filed inside to watch Ann+Billy exchange vows at the top fot the mansion’s grand staircase. And in all the craziness, Ann+Billy never skipped a beat. Ann laughed about the rain the whole time, not once seeming disappointed. She was just excited to marry the love of her life.
